Connie Ray Stockham Tapped as Member of the Inaugural Class of the Blackburn Society


Birmingham, AL – White Arnold & Dowd P.C. is pleased to announce that shareholder Connie Ray Stockham was recently named to the Inaugural Class of the Blackburn Society, a newly-created component of the Blackburn Institute at the University of Alabama. Ms. Stockham will be inducted into the Blackburn Society at the 20th Anniversary Symposium Celebration of the Blackburn Institute in late August.

The Blackburn Society acknowledges those individuals who have made lasting contributions to the Blackburn Institute, a recognized network of engaged servant leaders who are committed to the State of Alabama, and who have put the values of the Institute into action in their personal and professional lives. “Ms. Stockham is the embodiment of a servant leader who recognizes and promotes ethical values in others,” said Augusta S. Dowd, White Arnold & Dowd’s Managing Lawyer. “She will be a fine member of the class and will continue to serve as an example for others to follow.”

Ms. Stockham has practiced law for more than 33 years, enjoying a challenging and varied civil trial and appellate practice. She has served as lead attorney in a broad range of complex, litigated matters, ranging from bad faith and invasion of privacy to products liability, mass tort and environmental actions, insurance coverage and contractual disputes, construction matters, medical, nursing home and pharmaceutical malpractice, and personal injury and death cases of many types. Having handled over 40 appellate cases, she is called on regularly to take on cases after an adverse judgment to handle appeal and re-trial.
