FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Birmingham, AL – White Arnold & Dowd P.C. is pleased to announce that attorney Hannah C. Thompson has been appointed as a member of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Law Day Team for 2014-2015. Law Day was first declared by President Dwight D. Eisenhower on May 1, and was later designated as an annual observation day by Congress in 1961. It is a day to commemorate and celebrate the role of law in the foundation of the country and recognize its importance for society. The ABA Young Lawyers Division organizes and plans Law Day events around the country to encourage high school students’ involvement and participation. In her role, Ms. Thompson will help provide invaluable benefits and services to approximately 130,000 members and 300 affiliated groups of the ABA. “We are very proud of Hannah’s involvement and leadership in the ABA Young Lawyers Division,” said Augusta S. Dowd, White Arnold & Dowd’s Managing Lawyer, “and we have no doubt that Hannah will be a great asset to the Law Day Team.”

Ms. Thompson’s practice is devoted to assisting and representing individuals in both civil and white collar litigation. Ms. Thompson has a strong background in accounting, having participated as an audit intern with the accounting firm, Ernst & Young, and having served in the accounting department for the firm’s County Conservatorship. She holds a J.D. from Birmingham School of Law, and also a B.S. from the University of Alabama.
