Kitty Rogers Brown, Lisha L. Graham, and Curtis Seal Begin Terms of Alabama State Bar Service

Birmingham, AL – White Arnold & Dowd P.C. is pleased to announce that shareholders Kitty Rogers Brown and Lisha L. Graham have begun their respective terms of service on the Alabama State Bar’s Board of Bar Commissioners (“BBC”). The BBC is the 75-member governing and policy-making body of the Alabama State Bar. Of its 75 members, 66 members are elected from Alabama’s 41 judicial circuits and nine serve as at-large members and are selected by the BBC. As noted by the Alabama State Bar, the BBC “has the authority to promulgate and enforce rules relating to admissions, rules of ethics and discipline of its membership. Other responsibilities of the board include determining the qualifications and requirements for admission to the practice of law; investigating and acting on complaints concerning conduct of members and applicants for admission; overseeing the bar examination; assisting local bar associations and more.” Ms. Brown represents the 10th Judicial Circuit (Place 7) and Ms. Graham is an at-large member. Additionally, shareholder Curtis Seal will serve as treasurer of the Alabama State Bar’s Young Lawyers Section for 2023-2024, where he continues to serve on the Executive Committee.
