Shareholder Laura S. Gibson Hikes for Wishes to Support Make-A-Wish

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Birmingham, AL – White Arnold & Dowd P.C. shareholder Laura S. Gibson was recently profiled in the Hoover Sun for her work with the Make-A-Wish Trailblaze Challenge.  Gibson led a team of hikers from the firm – dubbed the White Arnold & Dowd “Trialblazers” — on a 26.3 mile journey on the Pinhoti Trail. The Trialblazers team, which included Gibson, Theresa Boackle, and Jennifer Willis, not only hiked a significant distance over challenging terrain, but also engaged the entire firm and their community to raise funds to grant wishes for children who have been diagnosed with critical illnesses.  Gibson served as the Chairman of the North Central Alabama Regional Advisory Council for the Alabama Make-a-Wish Foundation in 2017-2018 and currently serves on the Board of Directors; this year’s event marked her third Trailblaze Challenge.  As Gibson remarked to the Hoover Sun: “When you hear real stories about real people, your social conscience makes you ask, ‘What can I do?’” said Gibson, who is a casual hiker. “I immediately signed up for the challenge, but I would have walked across America to raise money for those kids.”  The full article can be found here.
